Today only 22 temples, in a good state of preservation, survive. The sculptures, considered to be the most perfect figures achieved in stone, depict gods and goddesses and amorous couples. Day 2 : Delhi - Jhansi Depart for Jhansi by Shatbdi Express at 6.00 am. Welcome at Rly. Station with Courtesy coach for Khajuraho (4 hours drive). Enroute visit to Orcha the famous Sheesh Mahal, Chattaris and Ram Mandir (the only temple where Ram is worshiped as King but not as a God.). Lunch will be served in a very relaxing atmosphere with an over view of Betwa River at Orchha Resort. Arrive by 5.30 pm. at Khajuraho. Evening see the sound and light show at the Temple complex.Overnight Stay at Hotel. Day 3 : Jhansi - Khajuraho After relaxed breakfast depart for famous Khajuraho Temples built by Chandela dynasty for half day sightseeing (4 hours). Afternoon visit to Raneh falls iwith an optional Jeep Safari in the Panna National Park.Return to the Hotel for candle - light dinner.Overnight stay at Hotel. Day 4 : Khajuraho - Jhansi - Delhi After breakfast depart for Jhansi - visit famous Rani Laxmi Bai's Fort - Drop at Raipway station to pick Shatabbdi Exp for Delhi.
